News / Matt Keenan to complete Grand Tour trifecta in 2015

It’s great to see another member of the Signature Sport family, Matt Keenan, continue to make an impact for cycling within the media.

Matt recently launched The Bike Lane cycling on SBS with Robbie McEwen and Stuart O’Grady as co-hosts. It marks the return of a cycling show with an Australian focus, and is attracting fantastic audience numbers.

The Bike Lane originated on www.cyclingtips in 2013, with Matt bringing it back to life in 2015 and striking a multi-pronged deal with SBS in the process.

You can watch past episodes of The Bike Lane here, or connect with the show via Twitter and Facebook.

In May, Australia heard Matt’s voice as the lead commentator for the Giro d’Italia and is due to re-join the SBS team in September for the UCI Road World Championships.

But it’s the Tour de France that really gets people’s attention and Matt will be part of the international commentary team at the Tour, working alongside Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen. Their commentary brings the race into lounge rooms around the world, including Australia on SBS.

Completing the Grand Tour trifecta, Matt will then head to Spain as the lead English-speaking commentator for the international broadcast of the Vuelta a Espana.

It’s fantastic to see Matt continue to be one of the worlds leading sports commentators.
