After a mid-season break, Robert Power has come out firing in Italy to become the first Australian to win the Giro Ciclistico della Valle d’Aosta!
A week of tough racing saw Rob lose and regain his race lead, eventually winning by 44 seconds to Lotto’s Laurens De Plus. View Results.
The Australian World Tour Academy Team took control of the race from the outset, with Rob winning the prologue by 18 seconds. By stage three, a mechanical on the final climb saw Rob drop down to second on the general classification but perfect teamwork got him back into yellow the next day.
