Congratulations to Sam Harper who has put pen to paper with the Melbourne Stars to compete in the Big Bash League season 5.

The Promising batsman and wicketkeeper played 12 matches for Melbourne in Premier Cricket last season, with a top-score of 89, and also played two matches for Victoria in the Futures League.

The 18-year-old, who is currently completing his VCE, expressed his excitement in signing on with the Stars for BBL|05 after being last season’s development rookie.

“It’s super exciting to have the opportunity to continue learning from players that I’ve looked up to for a long time now including our new captain David Hussey,” Sam said.

“I’m looking forward to developing my game, learning more about T20 cricket and if the opportunity arises, I’ll be ready to take it with both hands.” Read more of the Melbourne Stars media release here.
