Congratulations to Gerard Whateley, who took home the prestigious Alf Brown Award for outstanding journalistic work at the Australian Football Media Association awards on Wednesday.
The award was the night’s top gong, presented to Gerard for his overall contribution to the sport through his work hosting Fox Footy’s AFL 360 program, ABC Grandstand and with the Herald Sun.
It was a big night for Gerard, who was also named the most outstanding radio caller and AFL 360, which he co-hosts with Mark Robinson, won the most outstanding television/online program award.
After a huge year it is fantastic to see Gerard be recognised by his peers for his hard work.
